Course Description This course is designed for 7th and 8th graders and special modifications for those students with learning/disabilities to learn varieties of art and its impact in our world today with brief historical accounts. Students will discuss and review the applications of a variety of art projects. Students will tap into their creative potential to complete several class projects. This course will explore a variety of modes that utilizes classroom Medias and materials resourcefully, individual/group collaborative lessons, art vocabulary/notebook journal (homework entries), art expressions to improve motivation and artistic achievement, in addition, utilize creative interpersonal skills. The class emphasis will be placed upon meeting the assignment deadlines, neatness on final presentation of works, utilizing class time wisely, respectable class conduct in class and out of class, and good attendance.
Required materials * One three clipped paper/vinyl notebook * approximately 50 sheets of ruled notebook paper * regular pencils and black ink pen(s) **Optional are clear plastic ruler, set of colored pencils, eraser, and stick-glue, however most of these supplies are available in the class in limited amounts. I find it is always a plus when a student has their own basic toolage.
Never send your child to school with the following; scissors, any type of markers, cutting instruments. Not needed in public schools.
